Jin Shin Jyutsu Question

Hi,

InJin Shin Jyutsu, they say to put eg. the left hand on a certain point on the organ flow, and the right hand on another point. Sometimes these positions are uncomofortable, and would only be comfortable if we put the opposite hands on those points. Is that OK to do, or do we really have to put the left hand on one point of the energy flow (eg stomach flow), and the right hand on the other designated point, exactly as per instructions? Thanks
