How It Works

Yogi Bhajan - who brought Kundalini Yoga to the West - also shared a few recipes. My favorite recipe is Yogi Tea.

It is good to cleanse the blood, and for nervous system, and liver. Also helps during colds & flu. It is easy to make and so yummy!! I drink this tea a lot, and it is great before and after meditation too. So, maybe you want to your list of home recipes and to your routine too. Here it goes:

315 ml of water

2 slices of fresh ginger

3 cloves

4 green cardamon pods cracked

4 black peppercorn

1/2 stick of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of black tea (optional)

125 ml of milk or honey to taste (optional)

I prefer without milk or honey, but you can try a few different ways. I also sometimes feel I want a bit more spice so I put more ginger and peppercorn. Try it out and adjust accordingly.

In this flu season, yogi tea can help you to keep healthy also or to recover faster. Try it out!!

Sat Nam!!
