How It Works

We asked our Instagram followers to share natural remedies for soothing a sore throat. Here's a roundup of the responses so far:

  • jamie.ferrell: I swore by the honey, lemon and cayenne tip on nutmeg’s website when I had the flu!
  • _sarahgael_: Fresh pineapple and pineapple juice! I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it really does help!
  • heathershangout: Gargle with salt and warm water. I do this anytime I feel any sort of sore throat. My mom made us do this when we were young and I still do!
  • essentialrevolution: Young Living Copaiba and Thieves Vitality Oils are great ways to support throat health and healing! 💧👐💛
  • 2berds2furs: Thieves lozenges for the win!
  • dreaming_about_this_: I use organic raw honey and a drop of Thieves essential oil. Works every time.
  • rokkoroks: Ionic silver
  • oilsbyobre: dōTERRA On Guard (essential oil) throat drops!
  • hopsismx@hopsismx 💚😍
  • holistichealingwithjamie: gargle with colloidal silver every two hours #forthewin
  • jeffjstroud: OnGuard: Protective blend by doTERRA !

Lemon, honey and cayenne (which Jamie mentioned) and Höpsis (Heliopsis longipes root extract, mentioned by Höpsis) both work for me too.
