How It Works

Amla for the most powerful immunity boosting food you can get; it slows down the aging process, cures sore throats, fights against heart disease, reduces blood sugar, is an excellent anti inflammatory and boosts overall immunity, thereby reducing the risk of cancer.

The Indian gooseberry, known locally as Amla, is a tree that is famous for its nutrient rich fruits. It has been a common ingredient in the ancient Indian medicinal practice of Ayurveda. It’s a potent source of Vitamin C and also contains iron and calcium.

Amla is virtually a superfruit. It is full of antioxidants that are effective in reducing cell damage. It reduces the effects of free radicals and thus effectively combats the aging process.

By reducing the build up of bad cholesterol, Amla reduces the risk of heart disease. It also reduces clogging in the arteries by boosting good cholesterol or HDL. research shows its benefit in preventing the thickening of blood vessel walls, the first sign of heart disease.

Amla is a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins, and contains tannins. Tannins, when combined with polyphenols, makes the fruit a free radical scavenger. What this means is, it reduces the damage free radicals cause to the cells and thus improves your body’s disease fighting ability.

lastly, it reduces the level of acid in the stomach and combats stomach inflammation. It also keeps the liver in check and flushes out unhealthy toxins.

I buy organic Amla powder on amazon and when I'm low on time, just mix it with water in the am; it has a bitter taste but you get used to it. If I have more time, I add it to my smoothie. I use it daily and can honestly say I haven't gotten sick in I can't remember when!

Story

I am an LMT and avid marathoner. I tax my body all the time by working on 5-6 clients and running daily plus running 4+ hours on the weekends. During the cold and flu season it is imperative that I keep my immune system in the most powerful boosting shape possible to omit catching any germs from others and getting sick myself.
