How It Works

Chia seeds and lime juice for a natural energy drink

This drink provides a huge amount of endurance energy and won’t upset your stomach like the energy drinks available on the store shelves, which are all sugar.

I am an ultramarathoner and read about this recipe in 'Born to Run' and swear by it.

Chia seeds are a powerhouse of energy. They are an excellent source of Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, fiber, magnesium, and manganese.

This DIY energy drink is a must if you are going for a long run or just want more energy to go about your day!

This is a very common drink (agua del día) in Mexico! I haven't paid attention to how it affects my energy in the past but will definitely take note next time :)

Yes, its from the book, BORN to RUN, about the Tarahumara Native Mexican tribe in the Mexican Copper Canyons that run super human ultramarathons!
