How It Works

Place a drop of peppermint oil in about half of a cup of lukewarm water. Gargle the solution for about 10 seconds, and then spit it out. Do not ingest the solution. Repeat 3x daily to help soothe a sore, inflamed throat.

Story

I've been fighting off a cold in which the beginning symptoms are lingering on and off and in different places in different days – as if the virus is moving around my upper body! Most recently, I woke up with that awful sore throat feeling – the one that doesn't feel better when you get out of bed and get moving. I checked my throat and saw it was very red and swollen, and there were the origins of white spots (infection!). So I had read online that gargling the peppermint oil solution could help. After 2 days of gargling a few times each day, my throat was totally better!

What do you think?

I love using peppermint oil when I'm singing and recording vocals. It always helps my throat feel clear and open. :)
