How It Works

I discuss, teach and consult on topics such as weight loss, sugar addiction, detoxification, back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, foot, and sciatica pain. I know from personal experience that both the mind and body must be used to heal. Movement as a daily part of life, as well as getting the gut microflora balanced is an essential part of healing disease especially inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases and become healthy and free of pain.

Story

I attended college for Health and Wellness with a focus on Biology. At the same time I attended college, I obtained my Massage Therapy License in New York. Upon graduation, I opened a holistic spa that catered to women's health. It was an amazing experience at a beautiful clinic in NY. But as a massage therapist, I realized the health benefits of massage, relaxation, stress relief, and pain relief were not long lasting as many people would desire. In fact, at best the results lasted 2-3 days max. I began my quest looking for a way to effect permanent change in a person’s well-being. This led me to study the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and Pilates. My own health crisis diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, (an autoimmune disease) taught me about the importance of movement education and how it directly affects our quality of life.

During periods of intense stress, Ulcerative Colitis would cause terrible pain, internal bleeding and at times, the symptoms put me in the hospital. It was during those times of battling this disease that my research and investigation into optimum health and well-being created the most improved plan for health. Eventually, I found a clinic that performed FMT's (Fecal Microbiota Transplants) in the UK and I raised the money to travel to Europe for these procedures. Ultimately these life-changing procedures produced a state of wellness and reliability in my gut health that I had never had before. This experience also enlightened me regarding the missing pieces in healthcare which caused me to search for a model that could provide access and support throughout the process of recovery, rather than the touch and go system in medicine as it currently stands.

My personal experience combined with my research inspired me to create my company, B3 health. We are focused on solutions for metabolic syndrome and IBD’s.

I am also currently a part of Movement Center LA that is a leading GYROTONIC METHOD® educational facility in Santa Monica; we are breaking new ground with our client's health. I am honored to be a part of such a high-level collective of brilliant women who are authentically dedicated to their clients' wellness.

This is so interesting! I would love to hear more about your experience with Pilates, too. I am a former yoga teacher (haven't taught in a year because of hyper-mobility issues) and am interested in beginning Pilates.

Hi Jamie, Happy to comment. Pilates is great, I've been a Classical Pilates instructor for years, however, I got so much more from GYROTONIC training. Check it out, just google GYROTONIC and find out more. Amazing for many conditions including hyper mobility. I practice both:-)

Mara, thank you! I sincerely appreciate your encouraging me to share my story and be a resource for anyone struggling or in pain about Inflammatory Bowel Diseases or struggling with Weight Loss. It is absolutely the reason I think that I was 'saved' and made it through my near-death experiences is to assist people who are not finding their way or the right information. I am so happy when people move from pain to pleasure! Send em my way!
