How It Works

Colds and allergies are always creeping up on me at the worst possible times. I tend to stay pretty healthy, (huge believer in the healing powers of turmeric), but it's as if colds and allergies know the exact time I need my immune system to be performing at its best - and that's when they strike!

So as I'm fighting off the itchy, scratchy throat, the horse voice, and cough that's trying to keep me up at night, I thought of sharing my secret weapon with you all. Over time, I've whipped up a blend of turmeric tea for times like this. Honestly, it's so good, I often use it as my daily tea in the winter too. With a few variations now and then to spice things up, I never get tired of the flavor and the benefits help me feel better in no time at all!

Since I usually take two turmeric supplements a day (also containing beetroot, ginger and boswellia), I started emptying the capsules into a hot cup of water to sip on for those irritated throat days. I add in approximately two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of honey, and depending on my flavor preference, I add a dash of cayenne pepper, lemon, or a few shavings of ginger. My one cup of tea is helping me with inflammation, boosting my immune system, flushing out toxins, promoting weight loss, heart health, and so much more! Here's a great read if you're interested in additional benefits of the ingredients I'm using in my tea. Hope this helps!
