How It Works

At the first sign of a headache, combine the juice and zest of one lemon and two teaspoons of Himalayan crystal salt in a glass of room temperature water. Then drink it all in one sip (or as quickly as possible). My headache usually begins to fade within minutes.

A lot of headaches come from dehydration and mineral deficiencies. Himalayan salt has tons more minerals than table salt, and aides in quickly replenishing your body, while the lemon contains vitamins and promotes healthy liver function to help remove toxins in your body more quickly. Those, combined with the water are a speedy way to quickly get your body back on the right track.

A Bikram yoga teacher recommended I eat raw cucumber with lemon juice and Himalayan salt as a hydrating and mineral-replenishing post-class snack. Makes sense that these ingredients would help with a headache too!
