How It Works

Whenever I start to worry, the second the thought pops into my head, I say to myself (and sometimes out loud), "WHATEVER." Saying "whatever" immediately, stops the thought from festering and potentially manifesting. It also helps to instantly shift the worry and of course, the stress that comes with worry.

Story

This tip was suggested to me by a spiritual healer who warned me that my worrying thoughts would manifest unless I kept them in check. I am clearly someone who was born a worrier. I was raised by a "worrier" and worrying had become so endemic to my being that it was habit.

Using the "whatever" tip has radically shifted my life. It has made me so acutely aware of when the worrying thought creeps in, that since using the whatever technique, I am realizing I am worrying so much less. It is so easy and I promise so profound.

As the Dalai Lama says,

"If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever."
