How It Works

This summer my knee began to bother me when I was playing tennis, and as time went on, it bothered me on and off the court. I felt a stiffness, as well as a soreness, and I was a bit panicked as it was starting to really impact what I could or could not do. As I began exploring the cause of the problem, visiting doctors for x-rays and MRIs, a very dear friend suggested I try adding a turmeric tea to my morning routine to see if it helped with the inflammation and discomfort. I began drinking this tea every day, and over time felt things become a lot less sore and tight throughout my body. My knee issue is not completely resolved, but the turmeric tea is a huge help. The tea is super easy to make. I squeeze one half of a lemon into my teacup, and while the water comes close to a boil, I add a half of a teaspoon of turmeric spice to the lemon juice, mix it up, then add the very hot water, and then add about one half to a full teaspoon of honey (sometimes I use the Manuka honey if I am feeling a little run down, but any honey works, and you can adjust the amount to your own desired taste), stir it all up and enjoy!
