How It Works

We asked our Facebook Group members and Instagram followers to share tips for making a bruise go away more quickly. Here's a roundup of their responses so far:

harmonica269: Arnica! It's a mountain herb in a tube of cream. It works great on bruises and soft tissue aches. Boiron makes a good cream and it's available OTC at Walgreens and other drug stores.

carolinerebeccasmithI second Arnica!

Mara Berkman Landis: Lavender oil can help. Have also heard apple cider vinegar can help as well.

Kayle Jacoby: Epsom salt is extremely helpful. I recommend sprinkling some on a hot wet washcloth.

Pamela Hoopes: Bromelain... They had me take it before eye surgery to help with bruising

nikkjjuen_soofficialrightnow: Arnica gel, vitamin c (if you bruise often), and gentle massage as is tolerable. I’m also experimenting with CBD creams.

Kali Bowman: Arnica gel helps. There’s one called Arnicare bruise that absorbs really quickly

Andrea Reichel Kunkel: Arnica is very good

Lisa Mason Drake: We’ve had success using epsom salt too.

thaimassage.jules: Arnica ! But not on an open cut❣️

aimeeschenkel: Agree on Arnica. Either the gel or homeopathic where you dissolve the tablets under the tongue. As for the gel, you can get a tube that also has MSM...also I had a massage therapist tell me to add chelated magnesium as well. I think the magnesium was for the muscle aches...

Mandy Whitehead: Arnica.
