Any reason NOT to drink "charcoal lemonade" hot?

I bought some activated charcoal recently and have been trying to work it into my routine a couple times a week (usually via a room-temperature glass of "charcoal lemonade" in the afternoon). Since I'm already in the habit of starting my day with a cup of hot water with lemon/lime juice, I was thinking of just adding the charcoal in there. I can't imagine this would do any harm, but also haven't found any warm or hot recipes using the activated charcoal... have you tried this before? (Or have you heard of any reasons why not to do it?)
